(May his soul res in peace)
I forgot to mention that my book (DANCER) is actually based on a really dancer. His name is Rudolf Nureyev which is in the book is still the same. I did a little research on him and to my surprise, most of the events in the book was accurate. Rudolf Nureyev was a Principal dancer who lived since 1938 to 1993. He died of AIDS and sadly, AIDS during that time was not yet much known to people. He died at the age of 55.
Honestly, he is so HOT. but he's gay. One of his lovers of ERIK BRUHN who was also a dancer. The book though is not a biography but is something on the point of view of the author, Colum McCann.
He was a GOD in ballet. (by which I mean he was one of the BEST and no matter what he did, HE WAS STILL THE BEST and nothing or no one could touch his title.)
Most of his partner in his pas de deux was the most famous and the most beautiful dancer, MARGOT FONTEYN. It's funny though, when they were partners, Rudolf was only just 26 while Margot was already 45. (though with that age, that's pretty spectacular)

I don't really like to judge people (most especially dead people. may GOd have mercy on their soul:) but it's a way of life. we can not avoid it. It just comes natural to EVERYONE. I just think that Rudolf Nureyev was bad (I don't want to say another word because it scares me i might get karma! haha!). with the way he acted on everything but despite everything, He had a reason why he was like that and i think he knew he was bad.
I also found out that Margot and rudolf's last performance together was in 1988 when Margot was 69 and Rudolf was 50! (I wonder how that went. And i think it went pretty well:>:>)
I admire Rudolf Nureyev not only as a dancer, but also as a human being. they way Colum McCann describes him, its as if I saw him or as if i lived in his time.
